Product Manager Role:

Product Manager Responsibilities:

  • Continuously analyse IoT connectivity and applications market to develop, own, drive and communicate product vision and strategy in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including customers
  • Regularly meet our customers to understand their business and needs, retrieve their feedback and support our commercial team
  • Support customer in formulating their needs and in identifying their functional use cases
  • Use continuous analysis of customers/prospects needs to detect areas of product or product portfolio evolution
  • Acts as the subject matter expert on the product portfolio and support the business with high impact and/or complex technical engagement
  • Working with other product managers, in-house market intelligence experts and the sales team, develop a deep understanding of our customers needs and missions
  • Working closely with other Product Managers and Owners, Marketing, Sales and Engineering teams, specify and prioritize business and product requirements, serving our client needs and our long term strategic goals
  • Specify and document product roadmaps by gathering insights through customer interaction, sales engagements, competitive analysis and analyst research
  • Lead new product development and manage entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical GTM activities, including pricing
  • Create detailed product requirements, including detailed use cases and non-functional requirements
  • Work closely with Product Development team to clarify the product requirements, and may act as a product owner in the Sprints (Sprint planning, backlog prioritizations, Sprint reviews) and ultimately to secure product release scope and timeline as agreed in the product roadmap
  • Review and validate test plans and approve test results prior to the customer deployments
  • Produce and maintain product collaterals: sales and pre-sales tools, user documentation, …
  • Provide product training to Sales, delivery and support teams
  • Support replies to RFxs by providing answers to technical questions that cannot be answered by sales teams,
  • Support key customer projects in the specification phase
  • Continuously analyse and document product performance and state of the business and deliver quarterly status summary reports to Senior Management Team

Basic Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, IT, Information Systems or Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of product management experience, with Software background and including SaaS
  • Understanding of IoT market, its competitive and value chain dynamics, and the underlying economics
  • Passion for and understanding of how IoT systems work from end nodes to cloud to application software, with special focus on wireless technologies
  • Is able to dive deep and is never out of touch with the details of the business AND the technology
  • Exceptional presentation skills using tools such as PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to create excellent working relationships with diverse teams and job functions throughout the organization; especially proven respect for and track record successfully working with designers and developers
  • Basic understanding of project management, including core project management tools and processes (project plan as a milestone plan and GANTT chart, risk management)
  • This position requires international travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience delivering enterprise software products and services in a high growth environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
  • High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired
  • History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
