Role Description

The hours for this role are from 1pm – 9pm (Monday – Friday) as you will mainly be dealing with our US based customers. That’s not for everyone so do think about whether those hours will suit your lifestyle.

This role might be for you if you know your way around hardware and can communicate technical jargon to non technical people. You will need a basic understanding of electrical/electronic principles. Having some experience of dealing with customers would be ideal but if we can see that you’re a clear and friendly communicator by mail and on phone it won’t be a deal breaker. Curiosity and a love for problem solving are key for any person taking on this role.

Role Purpose

You will be providing support to our customers who are experiencing hardware-related issues with the Pointy service; this is done predominantly via phone calls and emails. There will also be responsibility for configuring Pointy boxes for stores that have a non-USB barcode scanner, as well as occasionally working in the lab to build externally-powered Pointy boxes for stores that have high-powered barcode scanners.  We also do tech support for the office and there are side-projects going on alongside the day-to-day work too.
