Software Engineer // Axonista

We’re looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our product team responsible for building Ediflo, a platform that enables brands and media companies to create and distribute cross-platform interactive video products.

What you’ll be doing

  • Work with the Ediflo Team to architect, build, test and document the Ediflo and Remoco APIs
  • Contribute to building Ediflo as a quality, scalable product, and a world class platform for interactive video
  • Collaborate with other engineers, front end developers, and designers
  • Input into technology selection, including third party libraries
  • Release management and quality control
  • Research into new technologies and engineering methodologies that will continually improve Axonista’s development and build processes
  • Participate in the on-call rotation
  • Attendance at conferences representing Axonista
  • Participation in Axonista’s efforts to give back to the development community

What you’ll need

  • Knowledge of at least one of the following languages: Go (main), Python, PHP, and NodeJS
  • Experience working with Databases (MongoDB and Elasticsearch)
  • Knowledge and experience of Rest APIs
  • Background in *nix
  • Available for on-call rotation
  • Excellent communication skills and an appetite for learning.
  • 5+ years professional experience
  • Based in Dublin. If remote, willingness to travel to Dublin twice a year for team activities
  • Strong opinions, weakly held.

Our team at Axonista spans 6 countries and 7 nationalities. We have a female CEO and a strong gender balance which we are always working to improve. The multidisciplinary product team you’ll be joining is based in Dublin, but also has team members in Zagreb and Barcelona.
