We’re looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Software Developer to join our product team under either a full-time or four-day week (prorated) permanent contract. You’ll be working alongside our experienced Product Owner, Designers and other Senior Developers on all aspects of Kubicle’s platform (a Rails app with some React). You’ll rapidly start working on impactful features that will be used daily by thousands of learners.

We’re looking for a someone who has:

  • At least 4 years commercial experience in Ruby on Rails as a Senior Rails Engineer, or 2 years as a Mid-Level Rails Engineer
  • The ability to write high-quality, well-tested code
  • Knowledge and appreciation of cloud technology such as Heroku
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a cross-functional capacity
  • Ability to engage with non-technical stakeholders
  • A growth-focused mindset, can-do attitude and plenty of initiative

Nice-to-haves:

  • Frontend JavaScript skills and JavaScript experience
  • Some DevOps chops
  • An eye for UI/UX design
  • Experience with Agile, Lean or Continuous Delivery approaches in a product environment
