Distributed Ledger Technology Purpose Statement:

A Distributed Ledger Technology Engineer must be highly motivated, have a proven ability and experienced working with enterprise applications within industry.

The successful candidate is expected to have experience in developing large-scale projects as well as developing proof of concept solutions to explore use-cases.

Key Responsibilities: in this role, you will be handling the following (but not limited to) responsibilities:

  • Support R&D experiments internally through collaboration in key lab initiatives.
  • Provide SME (Subject Matter Expert) support on distributed systems and related projects.
  • Design/Create mock-ups and prototypes
  • Measuring Innovation Activities through the use of OKR’s / Performance Scorecards / Targets and Milestones.
  • Create / Contribute to new the creation of new innovation project proposals including the pre socialisation with stakeholders, the creation of business cases, cost and revenue projections.
  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives and projects of varying sizes & complexity
  • Create new & maintain existing partner and vendor relationships.
  • Effective upward and downward communication on all notable  progress to all key stakeholders ,

Distributed Ledger Technology Engineer SPECIFICATION:

Knowledge / Experience

  • Experience in architecting distributed systems based solution.
  • Implementation experience of a reusable business process-modelling framework.
  • Strong knowledge of full software development and testing lifecycle.
  • Experience in driving business results through effective use of technology solutions.
  • Exposure to defect management and analysis.


  • Excellent computer science fundamentals; demonstrable command of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns along with capability to translate them into working, elegant code.
  • Experience delivering enterprise level Java development – at least two end-to-end cycles using a stack of related technologies (e.g. J2EE, Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Angular JS, AJAX, JSON, RESTful Web services, design patterns and databases) and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong command of at least 3 languages, including but not limited to, Java, Python, C/C++
  • Scala, Erlang, Golang, C, OCaml, Clojure, Haskell and Erlang.
  • Intricate knowledge of controls for consistent deployment and management of applications.
  • Experience documenting standards, procedures, interfaces and functional requirements.
  • Proven history of delivering high-quality, increasingly complex, commercial software products.
  • Strong command of distributed systems development.
  • Deep understanding of secure coding practices.
  • Advanced understanding of high-performance and high-availability coding techniques.
  • Experience developing software targeting Linux environment.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals (testing, code reviews, code structure, readable and maintainable code).


  • Batchelor degree in computer science required. Masters preferred.
  • Experience as a software engineer, working in a globally distributed development environment.
  • Experience working with innovative and emerging technology.
